One of my first monochrome pieces, this unframed 16x20 oil painting depicts a small shed on the side of Georgia Hwy. 81 in Walton County. I often drive by this shed on the way to my mom and dad's house and always wonder about its past. Why was it built? What did it store? Who built it and used it? Why has it been abandoned? This was painted mainly with earth pigments of ochre yellow, burnt umber, and burnt sienna. Layers of acrylic paint for the base give it a textured appearance. This piece would look great in someone's living room, bedroom, dining room, or office. Would be the perfect addition to a cabin or Georgia Airbnb.
